Reservation Policy
Reservations are available to start at 10:00am, 10:30am, or 11:00am.
If you plan on arriving past your 11:00am reservation, please be advised your rental time will begin from 11:00am.
Reservations must be made by end of business (5:30pm) the night before your rental.
Same day rentals are on a first-come, first-serve basis only.
Rentals are not allowed on the beach. Rentals ridden on the beach will be subjected to a $150 sand cleaning fee per bike.
SD Electric bike is the best! My husband and I rented two electric bikes over the long weekend and booking with SD Electric Bike was a breeze.
We made our reservations online and SD Electric Bike had our bikes ready and waiting for us. We were able to sign our waivers, learn how to use the bikes, outfit our little one with a helmet and within 10 minutes we were off!
We biked north, stopped at Moto Deli in Encinitas to pickup some sandwhiches, and ended at the Windmill Food Hall in Carlsbad to grab a drink -- a 26 miles roundtrip, 4 hour adventure. We could not have done it without electric bikes.
We have a 1.5 year old toddler and booked the Yuba Supermache Cargo Bike for him to ride in (the bike with the wagon in the front). Our little guy had so much fun riding in the cart. We had a great time seeing the city on two wheels - SD Electric bike was SO easy to work with and the staff was excellent! Would happily recommend them to anyone!
This place is incredible! The throttle pedal assist bikes are so much fun. They were extremely efficient and the guy who helped me out went above and beyond to check if there were any charged throttle bikes left. I will definitely be going back!

I am blown away by the electric bike batteries. We were out for 3 hours and only used half of our batteries! There are different speeds: Off, Eco, Touring, Sport, and Turbo.
The highlight of our ride was making it to the top of Torrey Pines Road. We alternated between Sport/Turbo mode and only had to stop twice. I've always wanted to ride up that hill!!!! We got a killer workout today.
Suggestions: BRING WATER & Remember to wear Sunscreen.
